Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya has postponed its release date of June 21 and will now lock horns with Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 at the ticket windows on July 26. But it seems that this big clash has been averted as the biographical drama has been pushed ahead by the makers. As per reliable source, the makers of Super 30 might shift the release date to August 9, though the official announcement of the same is yet to happen. “Ekta (Kapoor) has assured it would be a dignified release. No mudslinging, it was a pure business call as suggested by a top research agency, keeping the releases a week before and ahead in mind. Super 30 being pushed to August 9.”
Honestly, if the makers have taken this decision, it’ll be fruitful for both the films as both will enjoy the solo releases and will also get good amount of screens to perform well at the ticket windows. Talking about the film, it is based on the life of mathematician genius Anand Kumar and also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is currently shooting for Hrithik Vs Tiger along with gen-next star Tiger Shroff. The makers had started the shooting of the film on the great occasion of Teachers’ Day (September 5). Expected to be one of the most expensive projects of YRF, the film is shot in six countries across the world and will show some daredevil stunts, which will be a huge treat for the fans of both the stars. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor in a key role. It is scheduled to hit the screens on October 2 and will clash with Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Marjaawaan at the ticket windows.
