Nakul, the son of Janata Dal (Secular) leader S.R. Venkatesh, makes debut as a hero in Kannada film industry with a romantic film Preethiya Rayabhari that is based on a real-life crime incident took place at Nandi Hills in 2013. M M Muthu is the director for this film. Anjana Deshpande alias Sukruta Deshpande is the heroine in this film.
“I happened to watch crime news on Udaya TV in 2013. The incident took place at Nandi Hills near Doddaballapur. I prepared the script for this film based on that incident. I have to thank music director Arjun Janya who introduced producer Venkatesh to me. I have made all efforts to make this film a worth watch by class as well as mass audiences,’’ says Muthu.
Music director Arjun Janya has appreciated the Muthu’s skills in handling the megaphone for this film. “Venkatesh approached me to promote his son in Kannada film industry. I was not ready to be music director for this film since I did not want to increase its budget but producer insisted me to work for this film. He has provided all the facilities that are required to make this film for all categories of audiences,’’ says Arjun Janya.
Appealing to Kannada movie buffs to encourage and support Preethiya Rayabhari, Nakul said he would be grateful to his father who invested a huge money to make this film. “I am also grateful to music director Arjun Janya for providing lilting and foot-tapping music. He has encouraged me a lot. I want to thank director Muthu for his guidance and cooperation during the shooting,’’ says Nakul.
Sukruta Deshpande said that she was waiting to watch this film at the nearest theatre when it is released on Friday. “It is a special film for me. My first film was Tarle Nan Maklu. My other film Kapi Cheste is yet to be released. I consider Preethiya Rayabhari since its script is based on a sensitive issue,’’ says Sukruta.
