He has put Kayaka Siddhanta to practice, says MP Suresh Angadi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi embodies the values preached by Lord Basaveshwara, MP and BJP leader Suresh Angadi said at the Basava Jayanti celebrations in Belagavi on Sunday.
He said that Modi lived according to the principles of Basaveshwara that included truth and non-violence, dignity of labour and treating everyone equally without discriminating on religion, caste, class or gender.
“The Prime Minister values his work above everything. He works hard throughout the day and hardly sleeps a few hours. This is how he puts the Kayaka Siddhanta (the doctrine of work is worship) to practice,” Angadi said.
The leader garlanded the statue of Basaveshwara at the Goaves Circle before participating in the celebrations.
Rajya Sabha member Prabhakar Kore, Kannada Sahitya Parishat district unit president Mangala Metgud, Basava Jayanti Samiti members Veeranagouda Inamati and others were present.
