After tasting success as lead actor with films like Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam, Vijay Deverakonda will now turn to production, he announced recently. The film is titled Meeku Mathrame Cheptha and will feature filmmaker Tharun Bhascker, Abhishek Gomatam and Avantika Mishra in lead roles. Vijay made the announcement about his maiden production via a quirky video which had him and Tharun in a conversation about the film. Vijay has now released the first look of the film which has the lead actors featuring in it. Holding phones and expressing shock, the actors in the poster hint that the film could be a comedy subject with hint of mystery in it. “Launching the man who launched me into the world of Telugu Cinema Herodom??? Launching an all new Director, Music Director, Cameraman, set of actors package? Giving you my loves a laughriot for all the smiles you’ve given me,” wrote Vijay and shared the first look poster of the film.
Tharun Bhascker has already made his debut in acting with Falaknuma Das which had Vishwak Sen playing the lead role besides directing it. Tharun played a cop in the film and received appreciation for his portrayal as a messy police officer. Meeku Mathrame Cheptha will be Tharun’s debut as a lead actor and his look in the film looks quite interesting. On the other hand, this will be Abhishek Gomatam’s second film after making an impressive debut with Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi in which he played one of the lead roles. Abhishek impressed everyone with his comical and confused character which was much loved by audience.
Speaking about Vijay Deverakonda, the Arjun Reddy actor has named his production house The Ant Hill and proves yet again his choice is always going to different from the crowd. Meeku Mathrame Cheptha will have Vijay’s father Vardhan Deverakonda taking care of the production of films.
