Bengaluru: A man was robbed at knife point near Pipeline Road in K.P. Agrahara on Monday morning. Balaji, a resident of Vijaynagar and an employee of a private firm, was returning home after a night shift. Around 3.15 a.m., he was walking by the railway under bridge on Pipeline Road when he heard somebody scream for help. In his complaint, he told the police that when he rushed in the direction from where the sound came, he came across three men armed with knives. They took his gold ring, chain, mobile phone and 10,000.
In another incident on Sunday afternoon, a businessman was robbed of Rs 1.7 lakh. The incident took place in a parking lot of a supermarket in Kaigondanahalli on Sunday. The victim was allegedly asked by a stranger to pick up a Rs 10 note that had fallen by his car. As he was doing so, the stranger stole the bag containing the cash.
Two injured in tiff at tea stall
A dispute at a road side tea shop aggravated into a brawl that left two people injured, near Harishinakunte toll gate on Sunday night.
Rajesh and Devaraj, friends and residents of Peenya, were having tea at the stall late at night. Two others – Umesh and Sridhar P. – arrived at the stall.
According to the police, Devaraj asked the duo where they hail from before passing a snide comment that sparked the fight. Umesh and Sridhar allegedly attacked Rajesh and Devaraj with lethal weapons.
The tea seller alerted the police. A team on night patrol arrested Umesh and Sridhar. Rajesh and Devaraj were taken to K.C. General Hospital. They are on the road to recovery.
