Malayalam actor Chemban Vinod Jose joins the cast of Rajinikanth-starrer Darbar

After Prateik Babbar, another intense actor has been roped in to play the antagonist in Darbar which stars Rajinikanth in the lead role. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Darbar already has a heavy star cast and this latest addition will make it a bigger one. Malayalam actor Chemban Vinod Jose has been roped in to play another villain in the film and will be seen locking horns with Rajinikanth in the plot. Jose was introduced in Tamil by Vijay Milton in Goli Soda 2 and was seen playing a menacing villain. Apparently, it was this performance that convinced Murugadoss to sign him on for Darbar.

Meanwhile, Darbar is currently being shot in Mumbai and Rajinikanth is part of this schedule. Nayanthara, the leading lady in the film, is also part of the schedule. Rajinikanth will be seen playing a cop in Darbar and it will be after 25 years that the superstar will be donning the Khakhi. Fans of Thalaivar are super excited about Darbar since they would get to see Rajinikanth as a police officer after a long time.

Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar has also joined the cast of Darbar and will be seen playing the lead antagonist. Prateik recently confirmed the news and told Mumbai Mirror, “It has been my aspiration to share screen space with a legend like Rajinikanth sir. I can’t wait to meet him and observe him on set. I have been appreciated for characters with grey shades and I am investing my 200 per cent in this role because it’s an opportunity of a lifetime.”

Darbar also stars Nivetha Thomas and the Paapanasanam actress will be seen playing Rajinikanth’s daughter in the plot. Fans of the superstar are quite kicked about Darbar since it is the first time Rajinikanth is working with AR Murugadoss. Reportedly, the film will have quite a few dynamic scenes involving Rajinikanth and will be a treat for the fans of the superstar.
