There were reports doing rounds that Mahanati actress Keerthy Suresh would soon be making her debut in Bollywood and the project would be directed by Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma. But nothing was officially confirmed there. But now, things seem to be rolling. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Keerthy has been officially roped in to play the female lead role in this Amit Sharma directorial which will have Ajay Devgn playing the lead role. The film is said to be based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim who was a popular football player in 50s’. “Syed Abdul Rahim’s story is a forgotten chapter in Indian history and I am glad that the makers are telling it through a film,” Keerthy was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror. Keerthy would be seen playing Ajay’s wife in the plot. The film will be bankrolled by Boney Kapoor who is now back in the business with multiple projects under his belt. Keerthy is currently busy with her commitments in Telugu and Tamil and has been juggling between various shooting sets. Keerthy has an untitled project in Telugu in her kitty which is being directed by newcomer Narendranath. Keerthy is also working on the Malayalam project Marakkar Aarabikadalinte Simham which stars Mohanlal in the titular role. In Tamil, Keerthy is yet to sign her next Tamil project but news has it that she has been signed on to play one of the female lead roles in Rajinikanth’s upcoming film with AR Murugadoss. Reportedly, the film will have two leading ladies and the other one would be Nayanthara.
