Katrina Kaif on working with Akshay Kumar: With him, it always feels like going back home

Katrina Kaif reunites with Akshay Kumar after a period of nine years on the silver screen. In the past, the duo has done films like Singh is Kingg, Namaste London, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye among others. Akki and Kat’s last offering was Tees Maar Khan by Farah Khan, which released in 2010. This year, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar surprised their fans and well-wishes as they joines hands for Rohit Shetty’s cop-caper Sooryavanshi. By now, everyone is aware of the fact that Akshay plays the role of DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, Chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad whereas Katrina plays his love interest in the film.

And even though Katrina is collaborating with Akki after almost a decade, their working relationship still remains the same. “Not at all. With him, it always feels like going back home. He is a wonderful co-star. Still so focused and dedicated to his craft. He loves his craft and you can see that,” said Kat when asked if her equation with Akshay has changed over the years.

It is amazing to know that Katrina and Akshay are comfortable working with each other like they were years ago. Further, when quizzed regarding her work experience with the director Rohit Shetty, Miss Kaif asserted, “He is very clear and precise about what he wants. He has an amazing team to support him.”

Considering that people always have huge expectations from the Rohit Shetty films, Katrina added that as an actor she is ready for the hits and misses. “I think we all have the pressure to deliver with every film. Every actor wants and craves for that box office success and acceptance from the audience. But at the same time, we are prepared for hits and misses,” said Katrina.

The actress, who was last seen in Bharat, was of belief that Salman Khan won’t ever let Sooryavanshi clash with his film Inshallah. And that actually happened. Rohit’s Sooryavanshi was earlier set to lock horns with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah ft. Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt on Eid 2020. However, the filmmaker decided to prepone his cop-drama’s release and announced March 27, 2020 as the new release date of Sooryavanshi.
