Priyanka Chopra’s last-minute exit from Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat turned out to be a boon for Katrina Kaif, as the actress stepped into PeeCee’s shoes. A lot of people thought Katrina took up this project only on the basis of the equation that she shares with Salman Khan and filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar. However, that was not the reason for Kat to take up Bharat. In an interview with Mid-Day, the Zero actress has revealed that it was purely a professional decision. The Tiger Zinda Hai actress mentioned that even though she is good friends with Ali, they are completely honest with each other when it comes to work.
She added, “I read the script from start to finish in three hours and immediately called him to tell him that I loved it. I realized there was an opportunity of going the extra mile with this character. So, it had nothing to do with my friendship with Salman or Ali. In fact, Salman did not even call me after I signed the film. We met directly on the set.”
When asked about her working experience with Salman, the beauty added that they share a comfort level, which has developed over the years. The actress went on to add that the Dabangg actor loves to entertain the audience, is a simple person in real life and approaches his films the way he approaches life. Well, SalKat fans are definitely in for a treat with Bharat. And we are sure; this powerful duo won’t disappoint the audience.
