Six students from Hubballi-Dharwad made it to the list of top 10 ranks in the State in the Science stream of second year PUC examination, the results of which were announced on Monday.
By securing 591 marks of the total 600, Aparna Mulagund of Chetan PU College, Hubballi, bagged the fourth rank in the State and is the topper in Dharwad dsitrict. She scored 100 % in three subjects and owed her success to guidance from her teachers and parents.
Along with her parents, Mahesh Dyappanavar and G.V. Valasang of Dyavappanavar-Valasang Educational and Academic Trust, which runs the college, celebrated the success of Aparna Mulagund by distributing sweets on the college campus on Monday.
Chetan College had another reason to feel proud as another student Shilpa Devaramani bagged the ninth rank in the State-level by scoring 586 out of 600 marks.
Similarly, KLE Society’s Prerana College, Hubballi, had reasons to rejoice as its students bagged two ranks in the State-level. While Drishti Mahajan bagged the sixth rank in the State-level by scoring 589 marks out of 600, Santosh, with 585 out of 600 marks, bagged the 10 rank.
In Dharwad, two colleges made it to the top 10 list in the Science stream.
Srujana Kulkarni of Mahesh PU College and Rohini Katti of Prism College, Dharwad, scored 588 marks out of 600 marks to bag seventh rank in the State-level. The college administration, teachers and parents celebrated the success by distributing sweets.
