Now, K R Muralikrishna, an advocate-turned-director is on cloud nine. The reason is the completion of the shooting of his maiden film Gara. Muralikrishna got inspiration from a novel written by R K Narayan to write the script and screenplay. The specialty of the film is having Johnny Lever along with comedian of Kannada films Sadhu Kokila. Both are playing as Jugari Brothers.
According to director Muralikrishna, the film’s shooting was held at various locations including Himalayas and finally concluded at Devanahalli near Bengaluru. The USP of Gara is having Saroj Khan, a well-known choreographer of Bollywood. The versatile choreographer has worked for two songs of Gara.
According to the director, the Gara is about narration of emotions in life. “Life has positive and negative emotions. We have tried our best to have all emotions, including hatred, friendship and humour, in this film. We have Johnny Lever and Sadhu Kokila in this film. They play Jugari Brothers. Their roles are very important. They convey the much-needed message to society. The message is that money can be snatched by any one in society but not the talent,’’ Muralikrishna said.
Rehaman, Pradeep, Neha Patil, Avantika, Ramakrishna, Roopa Devi, Mandeep Rai and others are in the star cast. Aditya Aryan of Andhra Pradesh plays Digital Gowda in this film.
Meanwhile, director Muralikrishna has not revealed the name of the producer for this film. It may be recalled that he said the media people are the producers while interacting with media persons at Bell Hotel, which is defunct now. “I will introduce the producer before release of this film,’’ he said.
