Four more rockets fired at Israel from Gaza strip, 3 intercepted by Iron Dome System

Tel Aviv

Four more rockets were fired on Friday from the Gaza Strip with three of them being intercepted by the Iron Dome Aerial Defense System, the Israel Defense Forces said. Israel has been attacked by rockets launched from the Palestinian territory since the early hours of Friday with air raid sirens having sounded in Tel Aviv and a number of other settlements in the country. Following the attacks, Israel hit about 100 targets of the Hamas Islamist movement across the Gaza Strip. “4 rockets were launched from Gaza at Israel. The IDF Iron Dome Aerial Defense System intercepted 3 of the rockets,” the IDF wrote on its Twitter page. For decades, Israel has been in conflict with Palestinians, who have been seeking diplomatic recognition for their independent state on the territories of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which are partially occupied by Israel, and the Gaza Strip. The Israeli government refuses to recognize Palestine as an independent political and diplomatic entity, and continues to build settlements in the occupied areas, despite objections from the United Nations.
