Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, 90, is finally out of hospital. The veteran singer returned home on Sunday after being admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for almost a month. And the singer’s recovery and return to home has brought joy to legendary actor Dilip Kumar. The actor is “overjoyed” that his “chhoti behen” is on the road to recovery. Kumar, 96, took to Twitter to wish a speedy recovery to Mangeshkar, whom he fondly called his younger sister. Along with the tweet the actor, 96, also shared a picture of him with his wife Saira Banu along with Lata Mangeshkar. “Overjoyed to hear the good news that my ‘choti behen’ Lata, is feeling much better and is at her home now. Please take good care of yourself @mangeshkarlata,” he tweeted.
Mangeshkar was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Breach Candy Hospital after she complained of difficulty in breathing on November 11. After 28 days she was discharged on Sunday. The singer also shared the news with her fans on Twitter. On Sunday a tweet on her profile read, “For the past 28 days, I was at Breach Candy hospital. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctors preferred that I extend my stay in hospital and go home when completely healthy.” In another tweet, Lata Mangeshkar also thanked her fans for praying for her. “Today, I am back home with the blessings of Mai and Baba. I have my deepest gratitude to all my well-wishers all over. Your prayers and good wishes have worked and I humbly bow down to each one of you,” the teweet read.
