The climax shoot for Seetharama Kalyana is in progress at the Bengaluru Palace. The film is produced by Anitha Kumaraswamy and directed by A Harsha.
Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy took some time off his busy schedule to talk to reporters on the sets of the film. He said the scenes in which his son Nikhil and Sarath Kumar are acting together were very close to his heart and bear a resemblance to his own personal life.
Senior actors like Girija Lokesh, Madhubala, Sarath Kumar, Ravishankar and Aditya Menon are acting in this movie, he said which is also special to him. He hoped that the film will be ready for release during Dasara.
A special set was erected for the film at the Bengaluru Palace Grounds that gave a feel of Hampi and Melukote locales. Women were decked up in colourful sarees and jewels.
Director Harsha said he was happy with the response that the film’s teaser got. He said the songs will be shot in the State.
Girija Lokesh said she plays a queen of a huge family similar to what one can find in Lord Sri Rama’s era. She said Nikhil Kumar deserves a push of encouragement from the cine-goers.
Sarath Kumar said he was unable to act in Nikhil’s earlier film Jaguar but did not want to miss working in this film. He said the scenes with Nikhil are very touching.
Ravishankar, Madhubala, Aditya Menon expressed their happiness.
Rachita Ram looked all set for a marriage and was as gleeful as ever on the sets. She said the film is a package that has veterans and youngsters working together.
Nikhil said the teaser became popular because of the stunts and added that the film’s subject is inspired from a few films but is not a remake. The film will have its music release function in Hubballi next month, he said.
