After a prime season this summer at the movies, Telugu audience will now be looking forward to the other bigger releases this year like Chiranjeevi-starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Prabhas’ Saaho. Saaho will release on August 15th this year which was officially announced by the makers few months ago. And there were speculations that Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa will also release around the same date which could result in a huge box office clash. However, an official announcement about Sye Raa’s release hasn’t been given yet. The latest we hear is that Sye Raa may not release in August and may be pushed to October. News has it that the magnum opus may be released on October 2nd as a special treat for fans of the megastar on Gandhi Jayanti. Major portions of Sye Raa have been completed and the makers are now shifting focus towards post-production, reportedly.

Directed by Surender Reddy, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will have Chiranjeevi playing the titular role which is based on the life of one of India’s first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Besides Chiranjeevi, Sye Raa also stars Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Kannada star Kiccha Sudeep and Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi in key roles. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be seen portraying a brief role and will be seen playing Chiranjeevi’s guru in the plot. Sye Raa is being produced by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan and will be his second production.

On the other hand, Saaho is also another heavy-budget film with a heavy star cast. Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho features Prabhas in lead role while Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor will be seen playing leading lady. Saaho will mark her debut in Telugu cinema. Besides these two, Saaho also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Evelyn Sharma, Jackie Shroff, Chunkey Pandey, Malayalam actor Lal and Tamil actor Arun Vijay among many others.
