P Krishnappa of Kanakapura makes debut as a producer in Kannada film industry with the film Chinnada Gombe. There are many people in Kannada film industry from Kanakapura and R.S. Srinivas alias Kanakapura Srinivas who produced the recent blockbuster film Bharjari, is one among them.
“I am new to film industry and I did not want to invest money to make films but because of my son Keerthi Krishna, I invested money to make Chinnada Gombe. My son Keerthi Krishna was not happy when no producer gave him a chance to play the lead role. So, I decided to provide such opportunity for my son,’’ says Krishnappa.
Thanking R.S. Srinivas and Krishne Gowda, president, Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce for attending the function to bless the crew of Chnnada Gombe, the producer said that he spent more than Rs 1 crore to make Chinnada Gombe. The film is directed by Pankaj Balan who do not know Kannada. Balan hails from Tamil Nadu.
“I am very grateful to producer Krishnappa for giving me this opportunity. I want to appreciate Keerthi Krishna’s acting skills. I am sure about the success of this film that has all elements, including horror,’’ Pankaj Balan said.
Keerthi Krishna, a science graduate, has basic training in acting at Adarsha Film Institute in Bengaluru. He has been associated with Kannada film industry for last five years by playing small characters in Kannada films. “I am playing a cop who is assigned to investigate a murder case. I have followed the directions of Pankaj Balan during the shooting. I think that I have succeeded in meeting Balan’s expectations,’’ Keerthi Krishna said.
The film has two heroines Anjusri and Leena Kushi. Gaddappa, Century Gowda, Pankaj Balan, Krishnappa, J Nagaraj, Jyothi Dhanalakshmi are the star cast in this film.
