Charging that the total fraud by the promoters of the I Monetory Advisory (IMA) Company (IMA) may touch over
Rs 15000 crore, Opposition leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly BS Yeddyurappa assured the victims that he will press for CBI inquiry into the fraud.
Yeddyurappa, who is also BJP State President, consoling the victims who had submitted a memorandum seeking justice said that “The BJP will make all efforts to render justice and punish the culprit who had had fled from the country”.
A delegation of the victims of those who had lost money, met him at the venue where he was spearheading day-night agitation since yesterday against the Karnataka Government’s decision to grant over 3600 acres of land to the steel giant JSW.
Stating that the total quantum of cheating to investors accounts for over Rs 15000 crore, the BJP leader charged that the members of the ruling JDS-Congress coalition government in the state had enjoyed good relationship with the IMA promoter Mohammed Mansoor Khan.
He also assured the victims, that during his visit to Delhi he will appeal to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to institute CBI inquiry and provide relief to those who had lost their hard earned money invested in the IMA Company.
