Ayushmann Khurrana remembers when he first became a dad

Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to entertain the audience with yet another quirky comic caper, Dream Girl. The film is all set to release in theatres on 13th September 2019. As the film is inching closer to its release, Ayushmann and co. are on a promotional spree. The actor recently dropped by the sets of Dance India Dance 7: Battle of Champions. He visited the sets with co-star Nushrat Bharucha. There a performance left the Article 15 actor speechless and emotional.

He recalled the time when he became a father for the first time. Ayushmann was very young back then and all his friends were not married at that time. He revealed how he had no one to turn to for advice, Ayushmann Khurrana said, “I was just 27 and my friends were not even married”. It was his father who gave him advice. “He told me that I will understand how much he loves me only after I become a father myself,” recalled the Vicky Donor actor. Ayushmann married his childhood sweetheart, Tahira Kashyap. They two shared two beautiful kids. When his son Virajveer was born, Ayushmann revealed that he felt like he “was reborn as a person”. He also has a daughter named Varushka.

Not just that, on the show, Ayushmann also crooned “Ik Mulaqat” from Dream Girl which impressed Kareena Kapoor Khan so much that she requested Ekta Kapoor who is the producer of the film to release a version of the song in Ayushmann’s voice as well.

Talking about the film, Dream Girl, Ayushmann plays Lokesh whose alter ego is a female named Puja. This Puja has many admirers in and around the city. Ayushmann revealed that he was hugely inspired by Aamir Khan and Kamal Hassan. “Even Kamal Haasan sir in Chachi 420 looked and sounded like a lady with both Om Puri saab and Amrish Puri saab’s characters in love with his Lakhsmi Godbole. They both inspired me but Dream Girl revolves around the boy who works in a call centre, so I had to wear a saree or a lehenga in only around five scenes,” Ayushmann told.
