Auction of things left by commuters on the metro

Passengers on the metro will try to contact the staff immediately at the next station, if any valuables are missing. But it doesn’t matter much about missing common items. This is why the missing items have been rotting in BMRCL’s office for the past one year.

It is also common for those who travel on our metro to forget their belongings. In the last one year, 220 commuters have left the station and train. BMRCL, which has collected them, has decided to go public auction.

Passengers on the metro will try to contact the staff immediately at the next station, if any valuables are missing. But it doesn’t matter much about missing common items. This is why the missing items have been rotting in BMRCL’s office for the past one year.

Interestingly, there are a large number of passenger lunch boxes in the items left behind. Second place is the helmet. The corporation’s staff has received 59 lunches and 53 helmets. Also got a purse, which is a problem as there is no person addressing records. All the items were kept by the Metro staff in the ‘Missing Rooms Room’ of the Yashwantpur Metro Station.

It is a small matter for commodity auction passengers to leave, but this is a problem for BMRCL. As a rule, the Metro Corporation cannot keep and use these items permanently. So the items have to be auctioned and shipped out. It is very rare to buy things that were once used. As a result, the items remain at Yeshwanthpur Station.

In September 2018, the auctioning of materials took place at Yeshwanthpur Station. Some items were purchased by the public. A few more items were outstanding. It is scheduled to auction together the outstanding and new items that have been missing for a year.

The items will be allowed to be viewed at Yeshwanthpur Station on July 16 from 10 am to 2 pm.

When is the auction?

The auction of things will take place at Yeshwanthpur Station on July 18 at 11 am. This time it was stipulated that all items should be purchased together. This will help you avoid the burden of handling all items. Staff can notify staff at the station or call 080-25191091 if advice items are missing.
