Bodies were recovered from the Malaprabha river in Belgaum in Karnataka after the flood water receded. Four people had lost their lives in the flood-hit city and now, at least two bodies have been recovered from the Dodamangadi village of Ramdurg taluk.
Many districts in north Karnataka were affected after Maharashtra released waters from the Koyna dam.
Belagavi bordering Maharashtra was amongst the worst hit after the dam water was released. Many people lost their lives and lakhs were shifted to rehabilitation camps.
A week ago after it rained, the district was once more affected by floods with the Malaprabha river overflowing and flooding villages.
Four people lost their lives and many more were rescued from the region.
Officials have said that those who were missing after the flooding in the region might be found when the water level of other rivers begins to recede.
