Arjun Kapoor on his wedding plans with Malaika Arora: Not looking to get married anytime soon

After months of speculations, denials and conjectures, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora finally made their relationship official. Although the two never speak about it at length, now they don’t even deny it. Nevertheless, the wedding rumours do not seem to cease anytime soon. However, Arjun Kapoor who will be next seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat has finally come out in open to speak about his marriage. Talking about his wedding plans with Malaika, in an interview with Mirror, Arjun Kapoor said, “If and when I do get married, I will inform the media. There is nothing to hide from my side, but I’m not looking to get married anytime soon.”

Kapoor, of late, has been making headlines more due to his personal life than professional life. However, the actor understands the curiosity behind his persona life and has no qualms about it. His only concern is people talking about it respectfully. In the interview, talking about his personal life, Kapoor added, “I took time to adjust, but I’m not the first actor whose personal life is no more personal, nor will I be the last. It’s a price you pay for stardom. If anybody doesn’t like it, he is in the wrong profession. I can’t stop anybody from writing about my personal life because there is an audience who wants to know more. I’m okay with that as long as long as one speaks about it respectfully.”

Arjun who is currently seeing a dud at the box office also opened up about failures in life and his wish to align his choices of the movie with the audience. “Ishaqzaade and Aurangzeb released within a span of 12 months, so I saw both the highs and lows of an actor’s life in the first year of my career. Eventually nobody is above failure, it’s how you react to and survive the low phase, which defines you as a star, an actor and a human being. One needs to take responsibility for failure, own up to the fact that audience did not like the film. I will never disrespect any film I have done, but I hope to align with the audience’s choice. Two bad Fridays can’t define who I am, there’s more to me than that,” Kapoor explained.
