Reportedly, Geetha Govindam actress Rashmika Mandanna is the front-runner for the female lead role in this movie. The filmmaker last directed Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava which had Jr NTR and Pooja Hegde playing lead roles. The story was an action-drama set in the backdrop of Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh, known for factionist battles. On the other hand, Allu Arjun was last seen in Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India which was directed by debutante Vakkantham Vamsi. The film opened to a grand release but eventually fell flat at the box office after failing to impress the audience. And post the failure of this film, Arjun is said to have become choosy about his projects. And after multiple discussions, Arjun has decided to collaborate with Trivikram, for the third time.
