Akshay Kumar to play National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in Neeraj Pandey’s next

Akshay Kumar will apparently essay the role of Nation Security Advisor Ajit Doval in filmmaker Neeraj Pandey’s next untitled film. After collaborating with the director on films like Special 26 and Baby, Akshay reunites with Neeraj again. This film will be in the same zone as Baby (2015). Pandey’s next is based on the career highlights of the fifth and current National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India, Ajit Doval. According to a reliable source close to this development, the Neeraj Pandey will start working with Akshay on this project once he is done with Chanakya featuring Ajay Devgn.

“Neeraj will first make Chanakya with Ajay Devgn, which was announced a few months ago. Akshay also has to complete prior commitments. The team wants to lock the script before making an official announcement,” a source was quoted as saying by the leading daily. Currently, both the script and research work are under process and soon the film will go on floors.

Talking about Ajit Doval, he started out as an IPS officer in the 1968 batch with Kerala cadre. The, now National Security Advisor to PM Narendra Modi, was involved in the anti-insurgency operations in Mizoram and Punjab in the late 1960s. Later, he also participated in the release of passengers from IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999. Once he joined the PM’s cabinet, Ajit became one of the top minds who strategized the surgical strike after Uri attack in 2016 and also the Balakot airstrike in February this year after the Pulwama attack.

Meanwhile, Neeraj and Akshay’s professional equation now seems to be on the track as their relationship had turned sour when the filmmaker decided to release his film Aiyaary on the same day as Akshay’s Padman (which was Republic Day release). Soon, the director postponed his film’s release to February 16. However, Crack which was announced days after Rustom’s release apparently got shelved due to his fallout with Pandey.

Akshay Kumar is busy promoting Mission Mangal. The actor has a handful of projects – Housefull 4, Sooryavanshi, Laxmmi Bomb, Bachchan Pandey and Good News. And now with this piece of information, we are sure his fans will be even happier.
