Actress Megha Shetty, popular as television’s Anu Sirimane from Jothe Jotheyali, is currently shooting for her debut film, Triple Riding. The actress says that she began shooting for this film, which has Ganesh as her co-star, earlier this month and has finished a schedule.
“We shot from October 21 and I’ve just wrapped up my portions for the schedule. The team is out for another schedule. I enjoyed the experience, as it was a very upbeat atmosphere on the set and everyone on the team is very passionate,” she says, adding that she plays a doctor in the film.
The actress adds that she took it up as her debut project because it is a complete package with the right mix of comedy, drama, suspense and action. “Also, I am paired with Ganesh, so it seemed like the perfect launch pad for me,” says Megha, who is also still working on her TV serial and has figured out how to balance the shooting schedules of both.
Quiz her about how she has got acclimatised to shooting in the new normal and she says, “We began shooting for the television serial quite a while ago. So, now, I don’t have any apprehensions. If you sit at home and worry, you won’t end up doing anything. It is best that we go out and do our work, while ensuring we do not compromise on safety precautions. Fortunately, both the teams I have been working with have ensured I don’t have to worry about this and have all safety measures in place.”
Given that most television actresses tend to distance themselves from the small screen after they get busy with films, we ask Megha will that be her case too. “I admit I am getting more offers from films, but I will take it up as and when something interests me. I have a responsibility towards this serial, which has given me fame and I’m not bidding goodbye to television anytime soon,” she signs off.
