Petta and viswasam box office collection sets the ticket window on fire

Rajinikanth’s Petta  collided with Ajith’s Viswasam on January 10 at the box office and both these films have impressed their fans.

Rajinikanth’s Petta opened to a good start across the world and it is expected to repeat the opening day performance on Day 2. In 2018, the Superstar had two back-to-back hits with the films Kaala and 2.0. Both the films turned out to be blockbusters. The film, on the first day, earned about Rs 1.12 crore from the Chennai box office. It is also dominating the international market of Tamil cinema.

It has been one and a half years since Ajith’s Vivegam hit the screens. After a short break , Thala and Siruthai Siva are back with another rural entertainer titled Viswasam, which was released worldwide on January 10.

Viswasam has opened to positive reviews and is said to have collected a huge sum at the box office. Trade reports suggest that the film has grossed Rs 26.7 crore in Tamil Nadu on its opening day.

The premiere shows were scheduled as early as 1 AM on January 10 in a few theaters in Chennai and his fans celebrated the release like a festival. Both premiere and early morning shows were houseful and fans seem to have been impressed by Ajith’s performance.

The box office collection across the globe for both the films  is expected to see a rise in the coming days.
