Heidi Klum dresses as Shrek’s Princess Fiona for Halloween

Heidi Klum unveiled another spectacular Halloween costume for her annual Halloween bash – Princess Fiona from Shrek.

The supermodel has always pushed the boat out when it comes to her outfit of choice, with previous costumes including a werewolf, a butterfly and a jaw-dropping Jessica Rabbit transformation, and she and boyfriend Tom Kaulitz, who went as Shrek, certainly didn’t disappoint this time around. Taking to Instagram, Heidi shared videos of the getting ready process, which saw the pair don green paint and face and body prosthetics in order to transform themselves into the beloved ogre couple for her annual Halloween party, now in its 19th year.

And though the 45-year-old is able to seriously up her costume game thanks to the transformative powers of prosthetics, she recently admitted that the process is often “nerve-wracking”.

“When you do prosthetics and all of this stuff, I’m always having my fingers and toes crossed that it actually does work out on the day because there was no dress rehearsal,” she told People magazine. “Because we can’t actually glue all these things down and see if it actually really works. So it’s always a bit nerve-wracking for me, too, that it actually does work out in the end.”

The spooky bash, which took place at LAVO New York on Wednesday (31Oct18), has become legendary in the showbiz world and was attended by fellow fashionistas Winnie Harlow and Bella Hadid – who were also creative with their costume.

Winnie sported a red corset, latex thigh high boots and a tumbling blonde wig in order to become American drag queen and presenter of RuPaul’s Drag Race, RuPaul. Meanwhile, Bella opted for a spiky black wig and an extravagant red dress with matching veil to embody Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice, who was played by Winona Ryder in the 1988 film. Her boyfriend The Weeknd accompanied her as Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice.
