Hampi: B.T. Rudresh, a renowned homoeopath, native of Chikkamagaluru, will be conferred with the title of ‘Nadoja’ (a degree equivalent to honorary D.Litt), by Kannada University, Hampi, at its 25th ‘Nudi Habba’ (convocation) to be held on Friday.
As many as 215 degrees including three D. Litt, 100 Ph.D., 74 M.Phil, and 35 master’s degree in M.A, Visual Arts, and Music will be conferred on the occasion.
Mallika Ghanti, Vice-Chancellor, told presspersons here on Thursday that the degrees will be conferred by Governor Vajubhai Vala and Minister for Higher Education Basavaraj Rayaraddi at the mantapa sabhangana.
Earlier during the day, a symposium titled ‘Karnataka Tommorrow’ will be held in which G.K. Govindrao, actor and thinker; T.R. Chandrashekar, development economist; and R. Poornima, senior journalist, will speak on various developmental issues concerning the State. One hundred books published by university would be released on the occasion.
